I was horrified to hear that applying for a visa for the US requires disclosure of all social media accounts. A friend was denied a visa because of a post critical of the Orange Buffoon. Sm now - next a brain chip inserted to monitor our thoughts? '1984' is looking frightfully tame.

In these depressing times I had a lovely five minutes on this morning's doggie walk, when two robins fed from my hand. I have tried for so long to get them to dare landing, and today they did. Unfortunately, I could not get a photo as my dog does not have opposable thumbs.

I fear that Trump will not live long enough to be properly made to suffer for his heinous acts. He will either die naturally, as those of us who share his age expect to reasonably soon, or someone will have the guts to assassinate him. A quick death is too good for him.

2/2 Two people saved me, one sorted someone to look after the dog, the other drove me to the hospital. Complete strangers. Faith in humanity restored!

Finally the storm is wearing off. Not before two visits to A&E after taking the dog for an essential pee and being blown over into the road, skin split on skalp. First stitches didn't hold, but at least the department was very, very quiet! Thank goodness for super kind people 1/2
