Thinking about Playmates Toys has made me realize I wish more non-collector toy companies besides Phatmojo would take chances on mascot horror games or other modern indie properties much like Playmates did when they first got the TMNT license in 1987.

David Ellison's team has made tons of stupid decisions since buying Paramount but if this is his team's fault dropping Playmates as the master toy licensor for TMNT is one of their biggest mistakes yet. While many other companies make TMNT now the Playmates ones have always sold incredibly well.
