I think the reason Duck Season never got as much attention as other mascot horror games was because it was initially VR-only. By the time a non-VR version was released, it was kind of a down period in mascot horror (as not a lot of them were getting attention at that time) so people lost interest

Fnaf's a bit different in that cop theory in that a) most of what's running about is essentially haunted machinery and there's no telling if lighting a Freddy will keep it down, and b) the bodycount is significantly lower and better covered up on a criminal level.

Not to mention the massive plothole of Poppy Playtime being that hundreds of people get killed in a work premises and the place isn't immediately swarmed with cops investigating all of those missing employees/visitors. *All* of those people had families. It's daft.

Don't tell me several swat teams wouldn't have survived storming Playtime co. because the things running about in there burst are god damned flammable, let alone bulletproof.
