I get why people avoid PvP modes in MMOs but if there is one thing I wish I could affect change on is to show people that in FFXIV its actually full of a diverse group of people and that asses and cheaters are actually a stark minority in the scene. We really just give them too much power.

"1 Million Damage In Frontlines All Jobs" entries #18 thru 21: RDM (1), SMN (1), BLM (2), PCT (3) Casters are my main so none of them took the outsized effort or number of attempts that DRK or DNC did. Surprisingly, I found myself preferring Rust over Spirit Dart as far as role actions go!

"1 Million Damage In Frontlines All Jobs", entries #16 and #17: DNC + BRD Dancer took an absolutely insane 47 attempts to hit the mark on. For a job whose entire kit is made of cleave, the potencies, limited range and terrible survivability made it really hard to achieve. Bard, by contrast, took 1.🤣

No, I have not forgotten the "1 Million Damage In Frontlines: All Jobs" project! It's just that for a job as powerful in FL as it is, DNC has such difficulty surviving in the mode that it took almost two weeks... The project is completed now, will post scoreboards and thoughts on 2 separate posts.

"1 Million Damage in Frontlines All Jobs" Entries #14 and 15: VPR and MCH Viper took 3 attempts to hit 1 million on. It's one of those weird beast I don't quite get yet but I had a lot of fun learning it for this project. MCH I play a lot so it only took one attempt! (The quality of games tho...)

"1 Million Damage in Frontlines All Jobs" Entries #11, 12 and 13: MNK, SAM and NIN I play a fair bit of NIN in FL but almost never touch MNK or SAM, so it took some finagling figuring out what would work best. Thankfully Fire's Reply is VERY good splash damage! Attempts MNK and SAM: 2 NIN: 1

"1 Million Damage in Frontlines All Jobs" Entry #10: RPR This one I actually had to take some time to learn and fine-tune damage. Smite was very decisive in helping me build BH early and get more oomph to the cleave I threw in, but it was VERY scary at times to engage. #FFXIV #PvP

"1 Million Damage in Frontlines All Jobs" Entry #9: DRG Yet another job I enjoy but don't practice very much. It took a comparatively low 3 attempts to hit the mark, and I ended up finding that the most useful role action for this very glass-cannony job was actually Bloodbath. #FFXIV #PvP

"1 Million Damage in Frontlines All Jobs" Entries #6, #7 and #8 1 shot both SGE and SCH, and 2 attempts on AST. I genuinely thought it would take more effort on SGE because it's a job I play so little, but it doth spank if you play it aggro enough. I might have a new FL favorite! #FFXIV #PvP

"1 Million Damage in Frontlines All Jobs" Entry #4 & #5 After several days spent in DRK jail, 1 million on GNB took 2 attempts, and only 1 on WHM. Seriously, broken ass jobs. On to the rest of the healers. I think SGE may take some finagling but SCH and AST shouldn't be TOO bad. #FFXIVPvP

"1 Million Damage in Frontlines All Jobs" Entry #3 I thought nothing could be harder than trying to parse on Paladin... until I tried Dark Knight and realized that outside of Salted Earth and Impalement it basically has NO cleave. 🤡 It took a whopping 46 attempts to achieve. Winning map: Secure!

This time around I did have time to (clumsily) voice the unvoiced cutscenes! The story is going in an interesting direction, but I feel a bit frustrated about the halfway point where it was left... a bit much of a cliffhanger to sit on for 4 months. youtu.be/xVAbcUB-7v8

"1 Million Damage in Frontlines All Jobs" Entry #2 Paladin took around 23 attempts to get one million damage on. This job is HARD to dish out damage on Frontlines. You can definitely tank a lot of damage, but sending it is an entirely different question.

I gave myself a dumb little challenge of hitting 1 million damage on Frontlines (on any map) on any job. (Names redacted for privacy ofc) I decided to go role by role and count roughly how many attempts it took. First job was Warrior--it took approx. 12 attempts. Win map was Fields of Glory!
