My first illustration job was for a preschool book involving monster trucks and counting! It was only about three months after graduating college and it went up on Amazon a few months after that. With this experience, I was able to find more book jobs. I used Upwork to find the job!

I'm Alex Hoey and I'm making a comic about a strawberry barbarian called "Strawbarian" with colorful gore that involves juices, jams, and villains beaten to a literal pulp. I was suggested by a publisher to take out the violence among other radical changes -so now I'm going indie.
