My daughter was selected to go to the Creativity Festival on the University of Minnesota campus. It was scheduled for Tuesday 1/13, and today we got an email that it's been canceled due to safety concerns.

I was trying to explain the TV show Episodes starring Matt Leblanc to my co-worker who loves Friends, and I've never felt more insane.

We watched Holiday (1938), as we usually do on New Year's Eve. Here's what our 7-year-old son had to say after his first viewing: "It's not as silly as A Night at the Opera, and A Night at the Opera isn't as silly as Duck Soup." A man after my own heart.

It's my birthday, and my wife got me the new novelization of Chimes of Midnight, an 8th Doctor audio adventure that we listen to every single year. Yes, friends, we're far enough down the rabbit hole that I'm delighted to get a prose adaptation of an audio play based on a TV show.
