At my mums and she cannot comprehend the idea that I’ve cut bread out of my diet. It is literally the most avant garde, jazz idea she’s ever come across. ‘What about a cracker?’ ‘Can you have a wrap?’ Her mind cannot conceive of food without a stack of bread and butter next to it.
