Most Sorcerers on Malune keep a garden with their favored spell ingredients that they take care of. At Hyde Manor the house faires do a lot of the plant care as well. If you asked Saros to watch an ordinary house plant on his own it'd be dead in a week

Most of them I tend to think of in the middle of the story, Post Ashenfern arc, but pre Five Falls arc. Avelien is only in the Ashenfern Arc so I think of her in the beginning. I also tend to think about Noura and Saros during the Primogenitor Arc a lot for the angst

Noura: The smell of pine and rain, foggy mornings. Saros: Warm bread, windy nights, rain storms Avelien: Roses and ticking clocks Cristabel: Salt, candle light and old books, her cat Zachary: Clashing metal, flapping wings, the smell of leather Madoc: Salt air and the sound of waves

Kind of. Spells in Malune aren't fully cast until the user declares their Affirmation, a word or phrase that confirms the intent to use the spell. All Sorcerers have one that can't be changed, non humans can pick their Affirmations, but Humans describe their Affirmations as a feeling put into words

Something uncomfortable about Noura is that she's very Americanized and disconnected from her religion and culture. Her family still practices a few Islamic traditions but they really mean nothing to her, its part of why she ends up getting so involved with Malunian culture

Saros is mostly intimidating by reputation, everyone has heard what happened during the War of Seven and he's one of the most powerful Sorcerers in the world. He as a rbf, as well, and he's freakishly tall, but his calm demeanor has people split on whether that makes him more or less intimidating

On land, horses and carriages, the main land has a railway that transports goods between major cities. Ferries and barges are for crossing the sea. There are dreamers with big plans for air travel, but nothing has come from it just yet

Food, basic clothing and magic ingredients are necessities. Luxuries are perfumes, soaps, oils, fashionable clothes and textiles, jewelry, spices, rare magic items and ingreditents are examples of luxuries

Noura wants to try everything! Cristabel favors dancing and flower pot painting. Madoc and Zachary are at the bon fires and trying the food. Saros is just there to keep an eye on the kids, but he'll participate in anything Noura invites him to join in, he's also buying gifts if there are vendors

A couple days late but whatever Saros doesn't know anything about his biological father, and was raised by a Leonin. Manassas also wasn't a typical Leonin, he was a solitary one that didn't live with a big pride, and the cultural differences between fhem were definitely noticable

Pne singular universe but multiple worlds. I do explore hypothetical AUs in my head from time to time like what if Saros came to Earth instead of Noura coming to Malune, or a role swap of Noura being an adult and adopting Child!Saros
