With Zazzel I tend to fit her into the canon context more when it's my own takes. I'd love to at least develop OC relationships with her though because I think it'd be fun to do OC interactions. Maybe when Artfight happens I'll get a chance to mess with the interactions idea at least.

I'm getting art done of Zazzel and Caine, and this is what I gave the artist for an interaction ref. It's a quick doodle but I'm really excited to see them draw it. I'm getting pretty fast at drawing Zazzel. I get the base sketches of her done pretty fast now. Progress!

Eshala, Jiren and some other survivors all faced this on a galactic level. They did what they'd been born to do: fight the war. None of them considered anything other than fighting to the death. Beyond that, their entire civilization was destroyed by this time. Wasn't much to think about/do.

New Zazzel developments: - Depending upon how strongly she feels anger, her body reacts to it. Things like her arms become much larger, her hair gets jagged and moves erratically, her hair can turn to fire, her height can double to intimidate, her hair can be used as a whip (if in a ponytail), etc.

This had to be obnoxiously bright, you don't understand. Zazzel is very 80's-90's coded and I really wanted to emphasize that. She'd likely have her hair up, but I didn't leave myself the ability to change it easily with how I did the lineart. 😢

Been working on Eshan's character development lately. He's Eshala's second child and only son. In fact, he takes more after her than Javik, though I can confirm he has his father's "angry face". Looks just like him when he gets angry. :) In any case, Eshan is 7 years younger than his sister, Tiri.

Natalia: Her mom's still alive and they're very close. This is due to her mother having been a single parent to Natalia since her father went MIA when Natalia was a child. It was that loss that brought them closer together. The two are best friends though and fairly goofy together.

Quite happy, actually. I love to sit down and think/work with them and often times get annoyed or cranky when I'm pulled away for whatever reason. It's more like the feeling of a kid being told to go to bed when they're into a game/book/etc.

I love having ideas for things but not being able to draw them out. Like Aerion's a famous racer and rose to fame from a young age, but I've never had his vehicle designed. I know aspects about it though, like what it might look like inside and how he controls it, but I can't draw vehicles, lmao.

Natalia: Not very open at all, even with people she trusts. Usually they have to call her out before she'll talk. Eshala: Only does so with Javik. This is a habit because she was taught that talking about these things was an exploitable weakness. When she does open up, good lord she dumps.

Looking over old concepts to original story OCs is interesting. Seeing the progress and how they've changed over the years brings a lot of emotion. There's a lot of pride and happiness for how far I came. On the flipside I feel I kind of lost some of the energy I used to have which makes me sad.

I'm not attracted to any, no. I do make OCs to pair with canons I find attractive though. 😅 Can say in the past I used to be attracted to the idea of who an OC was. Like not them so much as the idea of someone like them.

Good question because I couldn't tell you. 💦 I have many super emotional OCs but they all kind of sit at the same level for me. Like Natalia is very emotional but Eshala is too, just in a different way. Things like that make it rough to know a most emotional OC.

You know, I'm so brain pilled on Zazzel lately that I'm thinking up things to commission with her. I definitely want a pagedoll of her. And I'm debating on getting a fullbody image of her in another artist's style. Then part of me is like, "I should have her drawn with some of TADC characters."

Late night thought: Tiri does a lot of what she does in an effort to "make up" for her existence. She was unplanned and put her parents through the wringer just by existing. Even if she is reassured that she doesn't need to feel guilty because they decided to raise her, Tiri often still feels awful.

If I had to say, it'd probably be how deeply/well I develop my characters. A lot of people are impressed by how complex and realistic my OCs are. I've even had people tell me they wish they could make their OCs on the same level as mine. In reality? I just overthink and analyze things.

Natalia dealt with one and luckily it was the only one she goes through. She was absolutely pissed off. Bonding with someone and thinking they'd always have her back only to find they didn't gave her quite the upset. It was a slap in the face and she felt betrayed.

Natalia: The chance to hang out with friends (and drink). Also loves AI enough that she's been happy to see them evolve (such as the geth did). Eshala: Her family and by extension her brother's. A runner up: babies. Jiren: Family as well. They keep him grounded but he adores his kids and Tarja.

You know, Tomodachi Life has helped me work a lot on Zazzel. I think this game is her kind of humor so she just fits. Like her obsessing over a rubber ducky or discussing stupid topics with people. The expressions and reactions are just cartoony enough too. I'm legitimately having so much fun.

Natalia and Eshala would be the unfortunate ones. Except Natalia can get along with Eshala obviously, but she really gets on Eshala's nerves a lot and Eshala may or may not toss her across the room with her biotics. :)

Oh boy, I'm getting lost in making custom clothing for my Miis! It's a pain but it's fun too. Just have to figure how to work with the game limitations and simplifying what my OCs wear.

I need to make more accurate outfits for my OCs in Tomodachi Life. Zelda, Astraea and Natalia all got custom clothes to match their designs. Thinking I'll try making Zazz's ringmaster fit next. Can do Vasille’s dress too. Going to be a process to figure how to customize the others.

I don't actually write smut or anything sex related (not comfortable with writing it myself), but it's something I think about with my OCs. Those with partners I like to kind of explore the idea of what intimacy is to them and how it is between them. It's led to some interesting results.

Sometimes I hate the thought of certain OCs becoming popular. If I ever had a fandom for any of my stuff, I don't like to think of how some OCs might be treated. Like... for example: DV. He's an alien hybrid and physically an adult, but he's... a child. He isn't more than a few years old.

Heavily disagree that "nothing" can't be an answer. For some of my OCs this is their legitimate answer. They have issues with themselves, either through self-esteem or self-worth, that makes them believe there's nothing likeable about them. They don't like themselves, period.

Assuming it's on a day where they have nothing to do and are mentally okay: Natalia - Not too difficult. She's capable of rolling out of bed at a moment's notice. Usually up early too. Eshala - Difficult because she likes being comfy. It doesn't help if Javik is there too. She's a cuddler, lmao.

Tiri talks to herself and sometimes hums music to herself as she works. It became a common occurrence when Vigilance came into the picture. Talking to a disembodied voice all the time certainly helped cause the habit. Talking or humming helps her focus on her work.

I don't normally put songs to my OCs, but one really stood out to me when I first heard it. For Eshala and Javik the song I'd assign is, "Stargazing" by Myles Smith. It kinda matches their relationship which went from enemies to lovers. They didn't realize that they had each other to begin with.

Natalia - She started as a player character with my nickname, but over time developed into an independent OC. I had trouble naming her and when a friend suggested "Natalia" it just stuck.

Hell, they would for way less. Don't even need the money to bribe them. Natalia has done it several times with varying success. Eshala will strike without hesitation to put people in their place. Javik and Jiren both know from experience, lmao.

I decided to make a base for Zazzel so I could make a bunch of outfits on it. I'm sharing the base now 'cause, while it's chibi, it does show her anatomy. Her Canon Anatomy Notes: - Circular/Orb Head - Thin Upper Arms, Large Forearms - Hourglass Shaped Torso - Bowed Legs - No Toes - No Visible Ears

If you count a clone then Natalia canonically had one. They were entirely mislead and conditioned to basically be "more efficient" than her. It's funny because the clone is more like Natalia than anyone realized. They only had a few differences.

This outfit was intended as a joke, and to an extent it is one. I imagine if she used it that Zazzel would wear it if she got into shenanigans with Caine. And yes, part of the joke is her outfit is more detailed than his. Which is honestly funny (to me) because I tried to keep it simple-ish. :')

Muses: Natalia: Already died once and nearly did again. She's over it. Eshala: Used to not be, but developed a small fear later. Jiren: Was always expecting to be killed in war. He's not really afraid of death for that reason.

For nearly all of them the most important thing is trust and respect. It's miserable to stay with a partner that doesn't respect or trust you. Many also find it important to bond with their partner on an emotional level and not just keep things physical/sexual only.

An OC I have that I've been meaning to redesign. The OG design is way too dark. I changed the colors to make her stand out so she doesn't meld with her hair. Changed a lot but I'm happy with the way it's going. I'll work on her design some other time, but this is a good start for me. #OCsky
