Superman (1977) (Special Edition) 9/10 Hey, it's Superman! I don't even have much to say, this is just iconic as fuck The first minute of this movie is more respectful towards the medium of comic books than the entire MCU and I love it (1/2)

Now watching Superman (1978) (Special Edition) 2025 is looking to be the year of Superman, so it only makes sense to end the year off with the original Superman movie that I never watched Also this is the last movie I need to meet my self-imposed year quota

I had a goal this year to watch one movie per week There are 52 weeks in 2024 and I have seen 51 movies after failing spetacularly and binging a lot I have work tomorrow, so I'll have only a small window of time to finish my task before New Year I gotta lock the fuck in.

The Menu 8/10 This movie has the exact same opinion on fancy food as I do God, that burger looked good It was the only good-looking food in the whole movie, and you can tell it was on purpose because this movie only has two very clear and simple messages (1/3)

Alien: Romulus 8/10 A breath of fresh air being held back by dumb nostalgia fan service I might miss David, but this movie is way more of an Alien movie than anything Ridley Scott made in the previous 2 movies Every aspect of the Xenomorph was used perfectly for horror (1/6)

Now watching Alien: Romulus I just found out this movie has nothing to do with the David prequels, but I'll still watch it with an open mind I mean, I also heard a while back that this movie explores some themes from Ressurection, so I'm excited

Alien: Covenant 8/10 This movie takes the concepts from Prometheus and gives them everything that they need to shine This movie is also actually scary, which is something that was lacking from Prometheus as well The deaths are brutal, and their consequences depressing (1/5)
