The damage this man has done is incalculable.

I am an American. My roots run deep - back to the Mayflower according to family legend - but the great thing about being an American is that everyone, from the first settler to those who became citizens today, is equal. You are all every bit as much Americans as I am. So stay strong!

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries is on hour eight of his marathon speech opposing Republicans’ budget bill. Jeffries argued that the House should represent American needs, a standard he says the bill does not meet.

My kids know an American flag when they see one – but they don't yet know all that it represents. When they're old enough, here is what I'm going to tell them:

I will be damned if I allow a bunch of Confederate-waving January 6th apologists give the American people a lecture on flag waving. There is ZERO reason to enter an argument about patriotism with people who still worship traitors to America 150+ years later. They. Are. Breaking. The. Law.

My golden years are not what I expected.

If the GOP Tax Scheme is so beautiful, then why are they voting on it in the wee hours of the morning? Maybe because it’s irredeemably ugly and cruel.

The GOP's budget would make brutal cuts to food assistance and our colleagues won't shield veterans from their cruelty. Veterans are not waste. They're not fraud. And they're not abuse.

To people or entities considering retaining capitulating law firms: If they won't stand up for THEMSELVES against a man who is DESTROYING AMERICA, what makes you think they'll stand up for YOU?

There were four Republican-backed extreme constitutional amendments on the ballot in Louisiana yesterday. The voters REJECTED them all (in a state Trump won by 22 points in November). Keep the pressure on.
