I don’t know…I think it is an important point to emphasize that the shooter appeared to be shooting into a van (among other windows). All 3 were shot in the van, according to officials. None of this makes “obvious” sense, & while I have questions, this one - like others - is not clear-cut.

I get pretty angry at academics who make irresponsible statements about motives of violence. The Dallas shooting is not straight-forward and until any “evidence” can be confirmed, the media is correct in stating there is little known about any motive or message from the perpetrator.

Thinking of anyone right now struggling with anxiety-related disordered eating. I’ve never gotten proper treatment - started binge-eating in about 2nd/3rd grade as a latchkey kid. Wegovy has been so helpful & “food noise” is gone. But, wow, today, I am feeling how anxiety is PUSHING me to binge.

Every last cell in my body is triggered by description. Shame on all of us. “Last week, she said, doctors had to conduct an emergency Caesarean on a nine-month pregnant woman whose head had been blown off. They managed to save her daughter.”

The urge to vomit at the hypocrisy of this is uncontrollable. It is the height of abuse & hubris to use women & children as justification for the abandonment of the rule of law & implementation of unconstitutional policies that *checks notes* dehumanizes, harms, & punishes women & children.

I can think of an example where a criminal justice system & public are in a liminal, perpetual state of distrust because rule of law was treated as “flexible” & transparency abandoned. The cost? Generations of pain & 1000s of hours (& millions of $$$) spent on cycles of investigation. Devastating.

Utterly confusing. Moreover, we’ve hit a point where the public even can’t come close to learning about events because the legitimacy of investigations has been so compromised by behavior of government officials. It’s not public skepticism…it’s much worse, & the impact is already devastating.
