Yup, one of the terminated NSF awards was #2140743, which allows Harvard to draw funding for its NSF graduate research fellows (GRFP), all current and new. Confirmed here: www.nsf.gov/updates-on-p... Just cruel.

Federal grants to universities are almost entirely on a Letter of Credit basis. Most universities will submit weekly or biweekly drawdowns from the Payment Management System to reimburse recent expenditures. Without those reimbursements universities will be burning through cash unsustainably.

Very hard to go to work normally when every day this administration keeps rolling out horrific policies that threaten the lives of marginalized people everywhere.

Spoke with the kids this morning about how important it is to try and make the world better, even if other people try to make it worse.

Organize and care for each other in your communities, fund libraries and mutual aid centers. Be there and fight for your trans friends. Continue fighting more than ever for Palestine.

I don't think I can explain the palpable horror I'm feeling right now. The rights of marginalized people are in jeopardy, just like that. And US bombs will continue to be sent to Israel.
