About a year ago I was approached by Scholastic to pitch sketch ideas for the reprinting of Animorphs. After cryingscreamingbarfing I said YES OF COURSE. I am so grateful to have been chosen and for the enthusiasm everyone has expressed so far. David Mattingly left me some very big shoes to fill!

Working on this has been *SO MUCH* easier than rolling a client for Twitch's API directly. That API is so complicated with OAuth, EvenSub, etc. Working with Firebot means I just get plain, simple JSON across a websocket for all the data I want! Overlay rendering is another matter tho...

In the last week, I've made 3 new @firebot.app plugins and did a major rewrite of my Discord bot. Christ. But also, stay tuned for the new Firebot plugins. Those are coming... soon-ish? Just gotta wait until we release the new core version before shipping the plugins because of big new features.

So I switched over my laptop I mostly use for coding to Mint Linux, and first impressions have been amazing! The linux ports of stuff I use all seem great, not having to have every Linux tool go through WSL is so nice and a lot of node projects I'm working on build way faster than they do on Windows
