Haven’t posted in awhile and haven’t had an unbroken streak but still been hobbying a lot! Painted up 10 termies and a Praetor model to lead them. And lost my mind and started a blood angels army for some reason #warhammer40k

I painted something like 130 models in 2025. Got quite a backlog that I am now attacking in 2026! Death to the gray plastic! More games!

#hobbystreak days 361 & 362 Spent these days getting the metals highlighted and developed. Think I may be close to done on that, and time to move on to other areas for a bit

#hobbystreak days 357-360 Most of my progress over the weekend wasn’t actual models, but blowing up my hobby space and attempting to reorganize! Lots more of that to do still. Last night though I started work on the base coats for the metals. Making red was hard with magenta, but getting there.

#hobbystreak 355 Put a zenithal highlight on some models and trying my first ever effort on 100% paint mixing. That shit is hard!

#hobbystreak days 284-290 Tons of progress! Finished my big knight (pics in next post), built and started to paint a big daemon, and even got to play a game with friends!

#hobbystreak days 279-283 A ton ton ton of work over the weekend and each week night. Currently the model is glued together and varnished.the base is mostly base coated and I started on the friend for the base as well. Time for decals next, then on to more weathering!

#hobbystreak day 278 Built up the legs finally, as well as a custom tail. Did a little test fitting this morning. I wanted the leg pistons and stuff to just work so I went for a more flat-foot position than I would otherwise. Gotta figure out the right head, feel like I need an option I don’t have.

#hobbystreak days 276-277 Getting colors blocked in after priming and setting up some crackle paste. Ended the session last night with some gloss varnish to protect from some enamel plans

#hobbystreak days 247-254 So much stuff! Prepped for and then played some Kill Team with friends over the weekend, and messed around with a bunch of hobbying!

#hobbystreak days 244-246 Pecking away at the goats. Gold on the 20 on foot blocked in and made a bunch of progress on the diorama. If I was a smart man I would have bought a cheap frame with dimensions that would have worked for me, but I suppose I learned a lot stumbling through by myself

#hobbystreak days 242-243 Victory for the Thousand Sons in the TTS game! Also, filled in some base coats on armor and stuff that will be gold, colored in beaks and horns and cloth pieces!

#hobbystreak day 241 Slapping a little more paint on some goats and played the beginning of a TTS league game! Thousand Sons vs Chaos Daemons (all Khorne). Opponent has 3 squads of hounds with 3+++ saves vs psychic attacks 🤔 🤔

#hobbystreak days 233-240 Played several games of 40K, started on a display base for the mutalith vortex beasts, helped base coat some vehicles for a friend and a few more steps on the big blob of goats! About halfway through blocking in armor and weapon base coats on the goats

#hobbystreak days 227-232 Finished building a Daemon Prince, started and finished building a mutalith vortex beast kitbash, and started in on painting a blob of 20 tzaangors and 6 more bow goats!

#hobbystreak day 227 Played the first part of a 2v1 game with some friends online. I am behind on both victory and points headed into battle round 3 after poorly staging my force out of an angled deployment and getting the first turn.

#hobbystreak days 219-226 Hobby area reorganization, one really long game of 40K, and finished up my first batch of goats! Also, started working on a daemon prince!

#hobbystreak days 211-218 Mostly finished up the flying goats, but need to put some pigment in their bases and take pics. Also started a project kit bashing a custom mutalith vortex beast

#hobbystreak day 210 Some oils to start building some glow in the recesses on this disk. Need to go back in tonight to strengthen the color a bit more. Then I can let it all cure for some time while working on other details

#hobbystreak days 205-209 A lot of progress on these guys, as you can see. I gloss varnished the white disks so I can mess around with some panel liner or other things and then clean it up when I inevitably go over the recessed areas. Hoping to finish base coating some details tonight

#hobbystreak day 204 Got some skin and horns started, and some crazy colors on the disks. They’re fun and I think flavorful for the wild colors described for tzeentch magic but not sure how they’d look all together on the table. I have a lot to learn on BIG bright color schemes.
