Postdoc Fellow Jordan Bretzfelder served as a volunteer crew geologist during a 28-day lunar surface mission simulated by NASA. Such simulations, known as analogs, replicate elements of a real mission so that researchers can study crew performance and test instruments developed for use in space.

Georgia Tech has a new degree, a B.S. in Mathematics and Computing. Designed to prepare students for careers in interdisciplinary fields, this undergraduate program offers a balanced, integrated curriculum that develops both mathematical depth and computational fluency.

Peatlands are a type of wetland that store between 1/3 and 1/2 of soil carbon on Earth. As temperatures rise, that stored carbon is at risk of being released as CO2 and CH4.
