Presenting a drawing I did of @aisbarks.bsky.social, a great mutual of mine whom I haven’t drawn in a while, but was glad to do so again.

So, September 28th. A big and eventful day for animation, isn’t it? Well, let’s chronicle those events that happened on this very day throughout the years, shall we? The ALT text has all the titles, context, years, and goings on for each of these nine character boxes.

20 years ago today, before it was known as Universal Kids prior to its closure, the world was introduced to a new preschool channel: one that went by the name of Sprout. What were some of your favorite memories of Sprout?

Spiderverse this, Gatto that… What happened to liking good animated movies that may have competed in theaters, but regardless of their box office value, they still turned out to be likable?

One of my mutuals requested me to draw #haroldandkumar, so here they are in my art style. I’ve yet to see their trilogy of movies.

Tonight, #JimmyKimmelLive gets back on track, so in light of this news, I drew the man himself. Here’s to hoping this ship sails more smoothly. I apologize if Kimmel’s likeness is not perfect.

I think I channeled in my inner Aidan DeFrehn with this next character I’ve drawn. The character, #mightymax, the boy whose baseball cap activates portals to other worlds.

A part of me thinks that September 28th is a big and eventful day in animation throughout the years with releases big and small aplenty. For this day, I’ve come up with a drawing idea to highlight nine of the events that occurred on that day in one big illustration. Stay tuned.

Make a band singular: Frankie Valli: The One Season

Presenting my interpretation of @milkkirie.bsky.social’s OC Heather, as part of a “Draw this in your style” challenge of sorts from the other app that I said yes to.

With the new #gabbysdollhouse movie from DreamWorks coming out in a couple weeks, I drew this little cinema scenario featuring Gabby herself. And yes, I also included a few other DreamWorks-related Easter eggs into the mix.

24 years ago, tragedy struck in New York City when the dual skyscrapers came down. Today and every day, we shall forever remember the day we lost not just those twin towers, but also the near 3,000 people we lost during the attacks. #NeverForget911

So I thought about trying out some shading effects in Drawing Pad, and I thought I’d do an illustration of @kingprui40dash.bsky.social’s OC Ava to test it out. I apologize if my shading is not perfect, given it’s my first time doing so on the app I drew Ava in.

Since it’s still Star Trek Day, I thought I’d highlight one of my favorite #StarTrek jokes in a YTP. In this case, this one from DaThing’s “Shark Tank” YTP dubbed “Shark Shack”.

53 years and a couple of days ago, a man named Bob Barker begun one of the greatest game shows of all time, #thepriceisright, having hosted it for 35 years until Drew Carey became the host of it. In honor of the occasion, here’s my drawing of Barker himself.

I’m kind of in an artistic mood today and this weekend, so here’s a drawing of me playing around with a yo-yo. Not much else to it. And the illustration was done in my Drawing Pad app, in case you were wondering.

#ThursdayThought When I first saw that in Mario Kart World, the vehicles can alternate between karts, watercraft, and aircraft, a part of me was thinking of that “Martha Speaks” flash game that had a similar concept.

A little Nelvana addendum: Production of new projects from the company has been paused, but the name will still remain via distribution and marketing. Not sure on what to expect from this, but I never expected my drawing of the polar bear to gain this much traction since yesterday. Thanks!

Throughout the 50+ years of bringing us television specials, movies, and a bunch of animated shows, #nelvana was everyone’s favorite Canadian company for all of that. Sadly, those times are no more now. Michael, Patrick, Clive, Scott, Doug, and Helen… thanks for everything. 🐻‍❄️⭐️
