I’m pretty aware of time zone differences. As an east coaster, my rejection emails tend to come in at COB west coast time. What I didn’t expect, was a call from a Hollywood producer wanting to chat about one of my comics during bubble bath time. Few get that call. Fewer get that call full naked.

Currently sitting at a pretty quiet con with pen in hand, but all in-progress scripts have been turned in/finalized. That means I need a new project. If you’re a publisher or editor looking for a writer, please get in touch! I can start today.

Script complete (barring some formatting and minor edits). Writer friends: can you point me in the direction of your favorite agents? I’m working with a book-to-film agent for comic adaptations, but haven’t made any connections for straight manuscript representation.

Who am I gonna see?

While comic pitching slows due to a recovering distribution system, I’ve decided to dust off a horror script and send it to some film contacts I’ve made thanks to interest in adapting my comic work. The script is outlined. Act one is written. The scares are scary and the spooks are spooky.

Currently reading a Big 2 team book to help catch up on the publisher’s universe, and boy-oh-boy is the plot and character development pushed to the side for multiversal pseudo science that weighs down every single panel. It’s the kind of comic writing that makes new comic readers think twice.
