my brother is out of jail but legally blocked from interacting with my mom so hopefully he can’t abuse her more but he won’t and can’t help pay the mortgage. trying to help her keep her house while she deals with this is literally the only thing i can do from here and it feels like im failing.

as far as i’m aware my brother is still in jail. i’m simultaneously heartbroken for him and happy knowing my mom is safe while he is locked up. i’m terrified she’ll be homeless soon too, at 68, just days after being assaulted in her own home by the son she raised and loved.

i know it won’t happen but it’d be so incredibly cool if i could go home early from work today. i just don’t have it in me to deal with people after everything that’s happened the past two days.

my mom was relying on his part of the mortgage payment. they were already behind. if i cant help her get the rest, she is going to lose her house while dealing with the trauma of being assaulted and figuring out what to do with the house now. she already needed needed help last month to pay on time

i was in a band with my brother. my only experiences recording music were with him. he introduced me to so much art and music. he introduced me to weed. he made me feel cool when i was an awkward closeted high schooler. i idolized him.
