This is why we need more nuance in deportations. If someone is here on a tourist visa, I have no problem expelling them for egregious littering. Here we have someone classifiable in the numbers we as "a violent criminal" (an assault charge) who also deserves to be allowed to stay.

Floored by this story. A man wrote a pollite email to a federal prosecutor objecting to the deportation of an Afghan seeking asylum. DHS responded with an administrative warrant to get the man's info from Google, then visited his home to intimidate him.

Too obvious a point even to make, perhaps. But there was no “unrest” in Minneapolis before ICE and CBP showed up. ICE and CBP are the cause of the chaos…and the killings. Get them out of there.

The people of Minneapolis makes me proud to be an America. They are preserving what it means to be American—something our own government is seeking to destroy.

Should it be a matter for governments to decide how many pictures Warner Bros releases to theaters? If people keep going to theaters, studios will produce films for them. It Netflix sees profits there, it will too.
