Abraham Lincoln said it best when he said our nation has the responsibility to care for those who have fought our country’s battles. Cutting positions at the VA and making it harder to access care is no way to repay veterans for their service.

If you don’t learn the mistakes of history, you're more likely to repeat them. The Administration's efforts to erase some of our history at national parks does a disservice to future generations. Acknowledging the dark parts of our history does not take away from our triumphs.

Thousands of Maine people rely on paper checks for Social Security, veterans benefits or tax refunds. We need a thoughtful transition, not a financial disruption. I’m urging the Administration to delay this change and protect all who rely on paper checks.
