Legal folks, does anyone have any recommended training or notes on doing live cross-examination of a witness that you are hearing testimony for the first time? I've had two TRO hearings this year where I was opposing, and I had to cross a witness who gave long testimony.

Cash bail should be banned. Someone's ability to be released from jail should not depend on their resources. It should be based upon their continued threat to society and what mitigation efforts the state can use to manage that threat.

I am generally very critical of BigLaw because I think they are usually overpriced and not worth the money. However, I have had the pleasure of using WilmerHale's IP group in litigation matters, and I cannot overstate how much they impressed me. Are they cheap? No. Are they worth it? Absolutely.
