Housing is independence. For a single mother rebuilding her life. For a woman escaping violence. For an elderly woman surviving on a small pension. Without affordable housing, rights are fragile. Security isn’t just borders — it’s a safe home. What could 5% for housing change in your country?

Less education means less autonomy. Europe spends ~5% of GDP on public education. Matching or exceeding that for military budgets shows priorities. When schools stagnate, classrooms crowd, support shrinks, childcare lags, universities cost more. Families fill gaps mostly mothers.

Women’s health is not optional. When military spending rises, public services often pay starting with healthcare. Cuts mean fewer preventive services, longer waits, and reduced access to reproductive and maternal care. Security is care, health, and dignity not more weapons.

The “28th Regime” risks becoming a backdoor for social dumping. A parallel EU framework must not allow companies to bypass labor rights, co-determination or fair taxation. No opt-outs on workers’ rights Strict tax transparency No shell companies www.european-left.org/28th-regime-...
