28 Days Later. Hated the film overall, it's in the bottom 5 of zombie movies for me by the Dawn/Day of the Dead reboots, but it did have a road trip, and the visuals were basically a beautiful tour of rural England.

Modern rich people reinventing Victorian rich people's parenting practices and thinking it's cutting edge is wild to see. Next will be an explosion in boarding schools that are K-12.

Straight up? This is a house-flipper thing, not a Millennial thing.

People jokingly: "Children yearn for the mines!" My kid, like, 2 minutes into playing Minecraft on the PS4: already deep into the side of a mountain, laughing and digging. Children do, apparently, yearn for the mines.

Supergirl is having a rough go at the box office and I can't help but think that the fact that they spent the month prior to release downplaying the movie, claiming the expected low returns, and basically setting the public against it is the actual reason the film hasn't performed well. 1/2

ElfQuest was *wild* to encounter as a teen reader back in the day. The covers looked incredibly innocent, like conventional if stylized high fantasy. But the stories? The themes? Definitely not as advertised!

Keep thinking about how hard it can be for black TTRPG designers and artists to get their work out there. I have ideas and could put together resources but not enough energy to do the other work required without sacrificing my own creative output. It's frustrating.

I really, really need the newer entrants to the fandom to realize that the history of the Cyberpunk universe doesn't start in #Cyberpunk2077. I get that the fandom is split and overlapping between 2077, #Edgerunners, and #CyberpunkRED (and 2013/2020), but please, 2077 is just the tip of things. 1/2

I am determined to figure out how to do a decent sports based #TTRPG. Not sports tacked on, not just martial arts so combat mechanics do the heavy lifting. But something decent that does sports.

Dark Sun, Nightbane, and a few other settings are rare examples of ones where the bad guys won. Not in an apocalyptic way like a zombie apocalypse or something, but in a fundamental shift in the baseline that makes heroism an outlier or even everyday "good" acts a luxury.

Honestly? The PS3 is doing the business, given only a few streaming apps are still supported. I've got The Grand Tour playing, in my effort to skew Amazon's device use metrics. #PrimePS3.
