Here’s why I advocate for posting non-Maven resolvable artifacts such as ZIPs, TARs, etc, to places other than Maven Central. Post only JARs (binaries, javadocs, sources) and required metadata (poms, checksums, signatures, and likely sboms). Place every other artifact elsewhere.

Ask people to submit their top-5 talks for our internal summit with a MS form so you'll end up with an Excel, then wondering how you're going to determine an outcome with that unholy tool... Then write a Java app within 10 minutes to generate a nice report from the .csv export 😅🤩

Ironic: as LLMs make writing much easier, I am finding not more, but less interesting and novel things to read online. And so I keep paying more attention to the fewer people who still write their original thoughts (without LLMs - you can tell how repetitive it gets with them)
