This past weekend in Mexico City, I took my first spin class (on the helipad of a 40-story building) and then ran a 10k along La Reforma. Great bucket list items. A small reminder: while you push hard every day, make space for your health and enjoyment. Live extraordinarily if you can.

Today’s politics & my wellness are related: I’ve traded empty political pundit show calories for dense print news. This has taken me off the outrage cycle and given me time to exercise and focus on change I can control. I highly recommend.

After a physical, I decided to prioritize health and did a 58-hour fast this weekend. The first 36 hours were easy; the last 22, not so much. Takeaways: Mild hunger fades fast. I realized how much of my day revolves around food. If you try fasting seek expert advice. Curious—anyone else done this?
