Wow, actually slept in thanks to daylight savings. Didn't manage to get to sleep till late which also helped. Though it's really an hour less of a sleep in than it seems, taking it as a win. Feels quite luxurious.

Have come out to a performance of Meet Me at The Baths. Impulse decision to attend today while the weather's a little cooler. Starts soonish. Have no idea what to expect really. We have some headphones and are seated on the concrete bleachers overlooking the lap pool.

Mum's celebration of life was exactly as she would have wanted. Perfect weather, a high tide, ships leaving the harbour and sounding their horns, plus a RAAF flyover at the end. Magic!

An old family friend from Alice Springs sent some gorgeous flowers this afternoon saying she'll be thinking of me tomorrow as i farewell mum.

The koel has finally returned to the neighbourhood and is making its loud sideshow call.

Just sent off mum's eulogy, short slide show and 3 music tracks to the celebrant. So hopefully that's it now till the day of, aside from any questions the celebrant may have. Huge relief to have it done.

Close to final draft of mum's eulogy. Have been out working on it beachside this arvo. Only need to look it over at home where i can see the screen better and navigate the doc better. Then the only task left is to finish scanning in some more pictures and set up a very brief and simple powerpoint.

Arrived Thirroul, largely unchanged since I was a kid, ie sleepy beachside suburb of Wollongong. We had our sangers by the beach, and are now doing coffee next to the lovely old theatre where Russell Morris will soon be playing. Excited!

Postie just delivered a lovely card and some books. Lifted my spirits. Very grateful for kind and caring friends.

Did a shopping run for more fancy soup. And then decided wtf might as well go have lunch and coffee and watch the waves for a bit.

Feeling tired this morning. A quiet day at home seems to be in order.

Found some fancy soup on sale at Harris Farm (not my usual shop). So had that with some toast for dinner. Made me feel a bit more human. (Possibly any soup would've done so but i'm going to credit this one - will go back for more).

Had a nice lunch outing with friend. Have come down to get some vitamin sea afterwards.

Feeling kinda restless this morning. Wish i could walk it off but giving that a break while blister on foot still healing up (it's doing well but not going to push it). Going to have lunch with a friend. Hoping that settles me.
