A bit of an update, as I've been not feeling well and fell a bit behind on my deadlines . . . I'm currently at 8/10 stories edited and the manuscript currently sits at 73k. Soooo we're looking at likely 77k or more by the time my edits are completed. O.o

Just watched the first two episodes of Kaoru Hana and OH MY GOSH IT'S AN ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS PIECE OF ART. From the lighting to backgrounds to music to voice acting . . . *humming happily*

My twisty collection of dark fantasy and science fiction—infused with hope, noble tragedy, and swoony romance—now has an official release date of November 30th! 🎉 I'm currently completing my final developmental edits for this manuscript and cannot wait for it to be out in the world!

I'm on Story 6 out of 10 for KNIFE and this thing is steadily getting longer and longer . . . It may hit 70k before everything is said and done. (For reference, DRACONIC was around 64k).

I finished implementing editor/beta comments on two stories tonight in KNIFE for its final developmental editing round. Gonna take the win and reward myself with reading a few chapters of WUNDERSMITH by Jessica Townsend. <3

Getting ready to shut down my old artist page/account on FB and IG. Makes me sad, but I'm also so, so grateful for that time in my life. When I wasn't writing much, I drew. And having that creative outlet meant so much. <3 And ironically now that I'm writing more, I can't draw, lol.

Thanks to a Youtube tutorial, I've somewhat figured out how to make a cover reveal sneak peek in Canva, and now I have a purdy sneak peek graphic muhahaha. I've always wanted to figure out how to make one of these. 🥰 That being said, the cover reveal is coming up soon and I CANNOT WAITTTT

On the positive side, this means we'e *this much closer* to me actually publishing this thing in 2025, something that I didn't think would be possible at the start of this year. (Between Mental Health Chaos and then literally breaking my arm LOL this feels like the Little Book That Could)

While Project Knife is with Beta Readers, I'm trying to wrangle the blurb and start the other front matter material (Author's Note, etc) and why is this stuff almost more difficult than the book itself haha

My book is now with betas and my editor, which means I get to give myself two weeks vacation!!!!! *happy dance* time to catch up on books, anime, KDramas, and video games! 🎉

The manuscript has been delivered!!! Betas, it's all in your hands now . . .

ALL DONE THIS ROUND OF EDITS!! 65k of monsters and magic will be on its way to my betas and editor either tomorrow or Sunday morning . . . Now it's time for a nap.

I just hit 64k and only have about 20ish pages left to edit in this round. By Sunday evening, this book will be in beta’s hands . . .

Just wrote 1k words (for fun) of one of my side projects, a Canadian Urban Fantasy told from a runaway lady fae's POV + featuring a grumpy lumberjack hermit MMC. Writing humans from a confused faerie's POV delights me.

PK Update: it now has an official title - The Edge of a Knife and Other Stories - and 9/10 stories are done for this editing round! Nervous + excited about the 10th story, my swooniest one . . . but also perhaps the most personal. 😅 (not the swoon part, but the MC’s personal struggles lol)

Realizing that maybe I've pushed the limits of my social anxiety today. O.o

A bookstore that stocks UNEXPECTED ENCOUNTERS has just agreed to stock PROJECT KNIFE when it releases + they've offered to host me for two book signings in the future. I've been struggling a lot w/ morale + their enthusiasm for my stories has me feeling all the warm fuzzies right now. :'-)

I can procrastinate on this book no longer. The monsters in these literary woods are calling, and I must follow . . .

Best way to procrastinate writing Project Knife? Writing a blurb for it MUHAHAHA. And it *technically* still counts as working on it, right? ;-)

Even editors need their editors. Case in point: My editor must have highlighted at LEAST 8 uses of the word "those" in a SINGLE paragraph when she looked over my current manuscript. XD
