I'm reading some 'takes' on Alien Earth and some of you don't know the difference between a character being deliberately written as reckless/flawed, vs the writing itself being dumb. Characters can do things you wouldn't do and it still be plausible. It happens in the real world all the time.

Right now, we're governed by people whose entire approach to governing the country feels like it is about min/maxing polling data without any theory of what a better country actually looks like. Finished Onimusha for the first time. Really solid 8/10. I think its slower take on combat has aged quite well and the level design is rock solid. Also, it being a breezy 5 hours is such a strength in the modern era we're in. Excited to check to play the sequel.

I don’t think we as a society talk about the Bonic Commando Rearmed soundtrack enough.

The most striking thing about this remake/remaster era is how often we fail to understand that some decisions driven by technical limitations of the day are actually an indelible & important part of a game's DNA; if you 'fix' them all up in a modern version, that world/story loses some of its self.
