The @raycast.com team works on some legitimately interesting problems. There are a lot of good cross-platform engineering details here, including interesting trade offs and limitations with web views I wasn’t aware of. The efforts were worth it I think; v2 looks and feels awesome so far

I left Claude on auto mode to diagnose and correct a database query issue, and it somehow made it around 50% worse while reporting that it was an 80% improvement because it misunderstood I/O and clock time, and compared a cache miss to a cache hit. Some people don’t even read its code. Crazy

I can tell people are way smarter than I am when they talk about using voice to prompt Claude. I retype and rethink and trash my prompts all the time. I'd be saying the same sentence over and over like an insane person

This has been fun to work on. I hit cmd + shift + u (u is for Usage) and it pops up a little view into my usage of my Claude subscription. A few things could be improved (usage predictions have some weak spots, UI is a little ug) but developing native apps I actually use is really, really nice.
