Game no.32 Castlevania: Rondo of Blood THIS ONE WAS BRUTAL! I get what people meant by the remake being a lot easier,holy shit. Richter has some really powerful abilities but enemies hit like a truck! I've played through this story three times now and this one was probably the most challenging run.

Game no.31 Castlevania: Lament of Innocence THE STORY OF THE FIRST BELMONT! Man,the scene in which the vampire killer was invented was just sad...such a simple story kicked of an entire timeline of a franchise. This was as close to a 3D metroidvania without being one as it gets. I had a good time!

Found a boss door in Lament on Innoence. Struck me as odd that there was no save room before that but I thought eh,healed up and went in anyway. Got my ass kicked. Lost tons of progress... Then I went a different way I haven't been yet and found the ACTUAL boss door. Got clapped by anoptional boss

So far,the game feels like a 3D metroidvania. Backtracking and exploring every room is definitely encouraged. I found some HP and MP upgrades already and the axe subweapon is BUSTED! Getting the double jump so early combined with swinging from the whip is real fun! 🎮Castlevania: Lament of Innocence
