Tomorrow I am having a PETScan because of an abnormal routine CT Lung Cancer Screening. I am not having any respiratory issues at all so I am very optimistic things will be fine. I don't think I can take much more at this point so pray, send positive vibes or whatever you do pls!

4 yrs ago when this picture was taken, cancer was not on the radar. Today, the 3 of them are together in heaven & our sadness is profound. The support & kindness we have felt this year has made our burden lighter & we appreciate the friendship & kindness you show. For those who are

For the first time in decades, I left the house without dog hair all over me. I can't even remember when we did not have a dog & I'm still adjusting to not stepping around them, no long potty breaks or telling them we'll be right back when we leave. We miss their wagging tales & never ending joy!

Today we need to send our beloved Bear off to be with our son & our other dog. Hind legs given out entirely & refusing food & water so it's time. He'd be 15 in the spring. The 3 of them will be together again - our hearts are broken.

Hubs doing incredibly well - zipping around with walker - minimal pain. Home Health nurse came yesterday & Physical Therapist starts first of 12 in-home visits today. Amazed at services being provided so quickly & not having to make 1000 phone calls. Hoping progress continues!!

Any hospital visit makes for a continual questioning of "what's your date of birth & what are you here for"? So before dispensing meds tonight I asked him & he replied "11-29-74 (lol) & a penile reduction". Sense of humor returned - Made it thru another day ...

My husband never identified as a "dog lover" - he took care & nurtured every pet we ever had but never demonstrative about it. This morning when I came home from hospital to feed Bear before returning to get hubs, I put him on speaker phone so he could reassure the dog he was okay. Bear is wagging

Hubs' hip replacement surgery was a success & even tho he did wind up staying overnight as a precaution, he's doing great today & home resting & relaxing. Following order or else!!! The surgery center / hospital was spectacular - what a refreshing change! Kudos to Valley Health Specialty Hospital!

I've always let the "mood" dictate what holidays mean to me & whether I "celebrate" or not - never pressure to DO anything one way or the other. I am having a little bit of turkey envy this year but sticking to my plan of eating out. That will be easy - Christmas not so much. It was Christmas eve

My son & I would normally be debating if we were going to smoke the turkey or stuff it in the oven. Instead, I am trying to remain thankful for the 40 wonderful years I had with him & continue to honor his memory with wonderful images of great times So I sold the smoker & we're eating out this year
