It got as low as 26°f last night, but it’s warmer today. Nuvagantu, “where the snow sits” is the Nuwuvi name for the peaks in the Spring Mountains, where snow can be seen almost all year round. They are “the people of where the snow sits” Nuvagantucimi, and this is the sacred place of their origins

Each year, around the new year, we get a batch of lemons from a friend who has lemon trees in the valley. I just decanted 3L of a homemade limoncello we call Lee Canyon Lemonade. It’s been aging for 12 months… this is the magic of Las Vegas…

So far today, we’ve clocked gusts as high as 14.7mph, but the wind speed has also not dropped below 3.2mph all day… the winds of astronomical winter are upon us… yet it’s still 51°f at 8500ft… t-shirt weather

If you’ve never seen a ringtail cat… they are something else… also known as a “Miner’s cat”… they bond with a human… they eat rodents, and in return I give them apples…
