do you want *anything* to exist in the future? anything that requires expertise, anything where knowledge builds from experience? yes, that's tech (including game dev), but it's also construction, medicine, logistics, agriculture, and everything else that we do if so, reject this technology.

This was the *point* of these things being taken up by corporations. If you're just hiring people to "fix" something, you can pay them less than if you're asking them to create it -- even though it requires them to do more work. In particular this was the reason for the WGA strikes around this.

You want marketing for your game/book/thing? Go commission an artist to do some fanart of it. Like give them some materials and then let them draw whatever fanart they want, cute doodles, a big finished illustration, whatever. This is so woefully underutilized!! I want to do this lol
