I'll say it again, Art is communication. "Create for yourself" really means "Create art that communicates who you are." And one sided communication feels terrible. Commenting on peoples art/creations can be scary, I get it. But COMMENT. COMMUNICATE. We want to hear it. I want to hear it.

This is a really good explanation of why I have a hard time completing projects, or a fear of considering them done. I don’t want to fall short of my expectations because my goals are too entangled with feelings of self worth. I don’t know how to detangle that from my art, but feel it would help.

I hate this animation so much because of how painfully true it is. Art block and procrastinating will always be the bane of every artist and writer's existence.

Drawing i did to try and draw RG in @layziidakkii.bsky.social 's style, he never drew her full design so he gave me tips and suggestions and i tried my best to match his style

Like look at this stuff, this is all for shots that last like 6 seconds maximum and its the best backgrounds ive ever seen from a western cartoon. A lot of shows back then had some extremely good backgrounds, but Robotboy definitely contained my favorite of this era.

I’m gonna be very clear with what I’m about to say here. While I maybe a fetishist(DL mainly) and all, there are some characters and properties I absolutely refuse to mix in with that kind of stuff; Robotboy & King of the Hill for example is one of them.
