#Velodemo is a big party, 90 minutes slowly pedaling around #Zürich with half a dozen DJ bikes. My favorite today was the one with half a dozen speakers spread around in pink crates on different bikes, protected from the rain by umbrella.

They put up these temporary school buildings in #Zürich when a neighborhood doesn't have enough seats for nearby kids. This is the first where I've seen skyways connecting multiple of the 3-story buildings.

In the Mpls DFL there's a clear pattern. When the old guard loses control of something, they start a new caucus for their club to tap into party control. It can be beaten, but the hostile environment means advocates for change get forced out (sometimes quitting, other times via bullying.)

This roughly 125-year-old gothic-style building is part of the #Zürich city office complex. I wandered through the complex on my way to the top of Lindenhof, the hill where Romans built the fort that eventually grew into the city.

I wandered the city along a shady, peaceful street full of folks setting up for a neighborhood flea market. One building had installed googly-eye rock sculptures for passers-by.

This new apartment building, a 3 minute walk from the main train station in #Zürich , appears to have underground parking, likely due to requirments. How much do you think the parking construction cost? How much do you think that pushed up rents?
