Have been using applicative categorial grammar and talking about coordination of arbitrary categories, and the kids like the 'Ctrl-c Ctrl-v' metaphor for the category ((X\X)/X). You Ctrl-C the category you're coordinating and then you Ctrl-V it where the X is. They also like find-and-replace.
