Without key Affordable Care Act tax credits, Americans like Lori Hunt would have to pay more for their health insurance than their mortgage. And yet Republicans refuse to work with us to lower health care costs. It's baffling.

Republicans are more likely to get health insurance through the individual marketplace than Democrats, and most enrollees live in Republican districts. Congressional Republicans should come to the table to protect their constituents’ health care.

In our latest dispatch from The Working Class Project, we outline how Black working class voters want action, strength, and economic progress. Many still believe Democrats care. Now we have to prove it. Show up. Deliver. Fight hard.

Budgets are moral documents. They show who we value and what we’re willing to fight for. This bill cuts support for the most vulnerable, the very people we should be fighting to lift up just to give tax breaks to the wealthy.

Our tax system is already unfair & rigged to benefit the wealthy instead of people who work for a living. This new GOP budget plan gives tax breaks to the wealthy & raising costs & cutting services for everyone else. The new GOP tax plan, costs will go up for the middle class & working people.

“Democrats used to look out for working people... now they’re social warriors.” That's what they're saying. We can’t just ignore that. It should be a wake-up call. Stop fighting culture wars. Start fighting for better wages, housing, and opportunity. We can build a pathway back.
