i love the final months of the year. even though we're racing toward an ending, the whole school-year-beginning of it all just gives me "new start" vibes, and i feel energized by the nip in the air, the gloom in the skies, and i am always ready to do more and get better. i love these months!!!

god i hate genAI so much and one reason is because i can't trust anything anymore. i miss the days when i could trust that a photo or a piece of art on my feed was the result of human creativity & ingenuity and not three prompts in a fucked-up trench coat.

time to share that one of my big bookish desires is to moderate more author panels / Q&A sessions. i've done virtual conversations with authors (chloe gong in 2021), IRL moderating (nicole zelniker & marcia bradley in 2024), panels via RTM, and host a craft-focused author interview podcast.

We need to talk about something very important. There is a myth spreading in both irl and online left and progressive spaces that is doing real, material, lasting harm. THREAD.

i'm so excited about where my WIP, the first adult romance i wrote after 8 YA novels, is and i'm so hopeful and it's scary to feel like this because i'm so used to just existential dread at all times. weird! but nice!
