I already had very low expectations when I saw Starz was developing an Ippei-Ohtani series, and then I saw the synopsis says Ippei "finds himself tangled in a gambling scandal that rocked the sports world.” That's certainly one way to describe his role in the scandal!

HAZEL IS BACK HOME!!! A construction worker at a site just around the corner from us managed to get ahold of her and made a makeshift leash with some rope. She's gotten water, food and is currently decompressing in her crate. Seems mostly okay physically, maybe a couple of scrapes--vet later.

Hazel’s expanded her zone a bit, having been seen yesterday afternoon at Century and Aviation. Once again asking this be shared with folks in L.A., especially in Westchester, Inglewood and surrounding neighborhoods. Shareable Instagram post:

Los Angeles/westside folks: Our foster dog, Hazel, got out tonight around 8:08 p.m., and we have not been able to locate her. Please keep an eye out--and if you see her, DO NOT CHASE. She is very timid and will not come to someone she doesn't know. PLEASE CALL/TEXT THE NUMBERS ON THE FLYER.

Two players, two approaches—one explicitly laying out the political/personal motivations behind his decision, one simply stating he’d be elsewhere that day. Both totally valid as far as I’m concerned. Both men whose actions demonstrated greater moral fortitude than anyone on the Dodgers did today.
