For trump and his supporters, it isn’t about policy. It isn’t about making lives better. It’s about power. Showing it off. Wielding it. Building it. Leveraging it. Basking in it. That’s all these executive orders are about. Demonstrating power.

The first actions of the new guy in the White House? Absolutely nothing to improve people’s lives. Entirely unsurprising, and a good preview for the years to come.
