Putting together the torso of the HG Weißritter and tossing it on the legs really starts to bring out the great level of color separation on this kit.

I ordered this Gundam 0080 Christmas themed hoodie 7 years ago from a print on demand site. Mine’s starting to show its age so I figured I’d order a new one, but the artist has taken most of their designs like this off the store.

HG Weißritter coming along. The thick black lines on the skirt armor I did my usual painting instead of using the color correcting stickers, but I needed to clean up a little bit of spillage so that slowed down some progress, but still enjoying the build.

Saw it for the first time last night, but I really want to watch Angel’s Egg again. Work’s been busy lately so I went into a little tired, I really need to sit with it when I’ve got a much more rested mind. Even with all that, it still was very cool to see on a big screen with good sound.

8 years ago I had a ridiculous cosplay group idea…then our picture got shared by the official Gundam Thunderbolt account and Ohtagaki himself. 8 years later, Anime NYC 2017 remains in my memory as one of the best anime convention weekends I’ve ever experienced in my 26 years of going to them.

I often remark how I love seeing how much anime/Japanese pop culture has gained a wider audience over the years, but I can honestly say I was not expecting to suddenly hear the Mashle OP “Bling Bang Bang Born” play while out to dinner at an Indian restaurant in suburban Massachusetts tonight.

Anime NJ++ is off to an auspicious start for me. This was Keita Amemiya's autograph: an entirely freehand ink pen drawing of Zeiram! It was incredibly impressive watching him just whip this up inside of two minutes.

Good pausing point on the HG Weißritter as I let the first coat of red on the back of the leg boosters dry. Already feeling a lot happier on this build.

Tidied up the workspace before starting my next build. Sort of feels like cleaning house to expel a bad spirit after where I finished on last night. Fingers crossed for the next build, which is something I’ve been looking forward to since they started a line of HG Super Robot Wars kits.

RG Perfectability shields are done. Only worked on those tails tonight since they took a bit more time than expected, but with everything completed the details on these look really cool.

Had a little bit of time to get some building in before RICC stuff consumes the rest of this week. Almost got the shields completed, but I think stopping before having to trim, sand, and panel line 16 of the same piece for the tails is a good choice.

You know, for over 20 years, I’ve been watching this movie around Halloween, a holiday that includes the donning of unusual outfits, and yet it was only today that I connected the coincidence of that and the final line. 😅

From time to time I poke around and see what interesting things I might want to add to my Dunbine collection. I already have one prior English magazine ad for the DVD, but I saw these being sold on eBay. Interesting that there’s two variants of essentially the same thing.

Starting to see the finish line with the RG Perfectability and I love the look of the Hyper Beam Javelin. I also did some experimenting with the Mecha Empire neon blue panel liner I recently got by testing it on an action base.

Feels like I’m almost there on the RG Perfectability, then I remember all the extra weapon pieces I’ll be making.

I was reminded that this past weekend marked 17 years since Providence Anime Conference.

Little more progress on the RG Perfectibility. I was having flashbacks to when I built the PG and how much that torso frustrated me. I think I’m past the worst of it now, but I have a hunch I’ll be displaying this NTD Mode and never transforming it again.

Today is probably the biggest day for the fall anime season/Preview Guide and things are...not looking great on rollout today for Crunchyroll. Both MHA Final Season's first episode and the new season premiere for Spy Family are both up on Hulu. CR is 9 hrs late on MHA and it lacks EN subtitles
