At the risk of sounding a grump, whilst I am loving watching the opening days of the #winterolympics the camera drones are providing really annoying!!! It’s like a giant mosquito buzzing around behind the athletes!

Feels very much like a ‘walls and tumbling down’ scenario just now. I fear though that what will remain will be a huge pile of rubble and not some new Jerusalem (sorry if I’m mixing metaphors) or any real justice for Epstein’s victims.

I’m seeing lots of anger and upset at the Home Secretary’s statement to the House yesterday on immigration and asylum reforms. Some of the anger might be justified , but I increasingly think most are reacting to the press’s interpretation rather than what @yvettecooper-mp.bsky.social actually said?

So there we have it. Not content with trying to generate rioting on the streets by making the immigration and asylum debate toxic, the right will try and use their mates in the City to try and bring down the elected government by talking up the prospect of ‘panic in the markets’. Disgraceful.
