Just catching this, but I ended up enjoying the Open Network test. Had a good time with friends and my community, so I'm going into the full game with more confidence. Honestly, it just needs to be better than TSR, which I haven't touched since my review of it years ago.

Yes and no. Personal excitement may have nothing to do with a game's marketing or quality, it could just be completely personal. I've never been excited for a Sonic racing game the same way I am for a mainline platforming game. That said, again, I hope it's good, but I won't know until I try it.

I tend to do my warm-up when I'm re-reading the script looking for typos and grammatical errors, and then I immediately go into recording. My delivery is usually just my natural voice, which I grew more confident with over time. Repetition is the mother of learning and all that.
