There destruction of humanity is being led by surprisingly few ̶m̶u̶r̶d̶e̶r̶e̶r̶s̶ public and state-owned companies: "Just 32 fossil fuel companies were responsible for half the global carbon dioxide emissions driving the climate crisis in 2024, down from 36 a year earlier."

Wrote a thing: The carnage associated with fossil fuel is why speeding the transition to renewables is good for international stability as well as everything else. Fossil fuel is inseparable from violence, and dependence on it it has created a brutal world order....

Good climate actions have to operate levers where force can be multiplied. There's a serious argument to be made that making it hard to enjoy a Tesla is one of those levers. Kinda similar to how wearing a fur coat got much less fun at a certain point and now people don't do it much.
