Yesterday @jenniegouck.bsky.social and I sent out outcome emails for this upcoming conference & spent a happy afternoon arranging abstracts into possible panels (old-school, with bits of paper on the rug). at this midway point of a busy week (currently thinking about reading on the platform at Reading) I've another urge to share my life in categories

So many lives lost, directly and indirectly - most entirely unreported - over decades... not sure anything much is changing. I find the repeated language of 'accuser' frustrating too, as though nothing was proven. Reality is doubted again and again and again.

next week my things to do include a guest lecture for 'Reading Communities' module at @bathspauni.bsky.social, a 2-day @recovery-histories.bsky.social event at Birkbeck (on an advisory grp), then part of a panel @tatestives.bsky.social for the #ithelcolquhoun conference :-)

Great to hear from @shelleytrower.bsky.social recently. It reminded me of the beautiful and insightful Living Libraries project she lead in 2019/20. I was lucky enough to be involved in a small way and it is still a wonderful window into libraries as seen by the people working in and using them.

I relate to this. The False Memory Syndrome Foundation was officially disbanded in 2019. The previous, widespread media coverage of FMS had a highly destructive impact on the lives of many survivors, myself included. #CSAsurvivorSky #CSA
