The government plans to link university fees to institutional "quality". This is a nonsense because there are no metrics that actually measure teaching quality. There is no Ofsted, rather a handful of largely irrelevant statistics to actual quality. The NSS measure satisfaction, not quality.

I dont know where the right gets this idea that it is impossible for a leftwing person to admire a conservative. There is much to admire in the philosophy of conservatism and the intellectual conservatives who developed these ideals. We also accept conservatives onto courses all the time.
