Silicone face mask needed a lip corner repair, I wound up repainting the lips entirely and doing other adjustments. Fits really nicely now, expect more pics soon!

Just left the theater after seeing Disclosure Day and this view awaited me.

Made some eyehole adjustments and figured out how to lay the velcro straps on this silicone pig face by @feralworks.bsky.social that I felt a need to use more. A part of me wants to glue him on with adhesive but for now I will enjoy the mask as it stands. He’s a squealy boy!

Got this modified Grayland mask out of storage to check its condition. Tried it on and oh boy is it snug! With a good cosmetic paint job and some hair he could be walking on the street and no one would be the wiser…

I dressed up as a monster last night but took no pics. I have some adjustments I need to make before it makes an appearance. (10 months later) GOD Nah it won’t be that long, I just tend to overthink some looks when I don’t have to. In this case just figuring out two aspects that need addressing.

The other side of the street had a lot of dead brush and trash so I spent the afternoon pruning pulling and piling until it looked as shown. Much cleaner and now there are several areas to walk through without fear of getting a branch in the face. It’s way less of an eyesore from my fromt porch!

Will start hairwork during this long weekend!

Quick test fitting last night before I reinforced seams and made some bib trims. Aside from a bit more paint detailing I think it os time to add hair! “For God’s sake why do you pursue such horrible endeavours?” BB Because I can and I like it!

If this looks familiar it is the same face base as the Sy Smoothie mask project, this time in pale skin and no velcro attachments. I will experiment gluing this face on and using it as a prosthetic, right now the spandex hood is temporarily holding it in place. I’d wear him for hours and hours huuuh

Latest Sy Smoothie update. The entire neck and chest along with the top of the head have received multiple coats of fleshtone latex. Last night I stippled on brown and red coloring to break up the sameness and give the skin a livelier look. Another pass should be good then to add hairpieces! Oh boy!

Got this mask from the same seller who traded the Gargoyle (see previous post). I already started doing work on this guy but need to clear off a headform to move forward. He can go a few directions and am lookingb forward to it!

Gargoyle! Traded an Apparition mask for this, I will reinforce the lip corners and attempt nasal breathing passages but overall in good shape. He’ll make an interesting character!

Yesterday we had a good storm and afterwards the clouds were fantastic. This is the one pic I took but there were plenty of other gorgeous cloudscapes on the trip back home.

They’ve taken over

Did a second flesh base paint coat on Sy Smoothie last night. The edge between the silicone face and latex needs to be blended, that will happen as I add color washes and spotting to break up the surface. Will also have to reconnect the neck to the chest bib, and think about hair as well. Details!

Sy Smoothie progress. First time attempting to overlap a foam latex (double chin) piece onto a silicone face. I glued a piece of cotton glove to the silicone to act as barrier for the latex so that curing wouldn’t be affected. The chin was added over that after applying a latex base to the spandex.
