In tonight's Legend of the Five Rings game, things got messy when three Emerald Magistrates submitted three *different* copies of the same document into evidence.

Just finished session zero of a Historica Arcanum: City of Crescent campaign. This is D&D 5e, adapted to mid-1800s Turkey. We finished character creation and did a couple opening scenes, and I'm delighted.

Due to a temporary room limitation as well as the birth of two babies, tonight's game of Arkham Horror TTRPG at Volstead's Emporium is cancelled.

We finished out CONvergence with Flabbergasted!, in which our player characters threw an all-animals party to spite the dog show across the road. It somehow ended successfully, despite the hostess nearly being thrown out of her own home for being drunk and disorderly.

We are cancelling this afternoon's Vampire: the Masquerade one-shot at the Fox Den today to allow folks to show up at the No Kings protest in St. Paul at the capitol.

My most successful campaigns almost always start as: 1. Basic pitch and a vibe (allows for the right players to opt-in) 2. Parbaked character creation (figure out where the players' fun is). 3. Responsive/collaborative worldbuilding. 4. Finish character creation/inciting incident. 5. Begin prep

I haven't been able to stop thinking about the character of Inge from the game Rosenstrasse. A severe Aryan German woman married to a procurement officer in the army, she took her roles as a mother, wife and German with extreme seriousness.

Ran a deadly (17 point) encounter for my Daggerheart group last night. It was indeed. Two death moves and the seraph flew the two bodies to safety with one HP remaining. Replacing the fear die with a d20 and hope die with a d8 was very impactful.

Reminder for everyone: we have several free one-shots happening on Saturday for the Imagination & Liberation festival at Sencha Tea Bar in uptown Minneapolis. No prior experience with a given system is assumed or expected, and each GM will teach you what you need to know to enjoy the one-shot!

One side benefit of my players choosing the Age of Umbra campaign frame for Daggerheart is I get to poach monsters from all my Mörk Borg supplements.

Kicked off a new Daggerheart campaign tonight, and players selected Age of Umbra as the campaign frame. The clank rogue got in trouble making knockoffs of the family pieces of the dwarf warrior, and the human wizard is terrified of the skies after the simia ranger warned her of the dangers above.

I'll be teaching Daggerheart at Badwolf in Coon Rapids next month.
