Game structure wise Donkey Kong Bananza feels like Super Mario Odyssey 2. Tons of tiny little challenges and hidden things everywhere. Almost feels like a fork of the 3D Mario series - Donkey Kong is going to continue the style of Odyssey. And I bet the next 3D Mario will be back to 120 stars.

New computer, tried Raycast again. Still insanely buggy and slow, on a fresh install on a new computer. Keyboard shortcut setup didn't work. Pro signup flow broke when returning to app, didn't register my sub. First file search froze up, and I had to quit from activity monitor. Am I the only one?

Things I learned at the Nintendo Museum today: Nintendo published Twister in Japan. The OG DS looks exactly like some of the old Game and Watches. Nintendo made a physical Duck Hunt game a decade before the NES one. Nintendos first big hit toy was the ultra hand, a grabber.

Was about to replace this card in Nihongo Lessons, feeling like をきらい is just wrong. But then looked at n-grams and it's actually not that uncommon. (12% vs. 88% for がきらい) Turns out, it's modern Tokyo dialect, and I live in Kansai. Feels like it's not a usage that's taken off around here?

Putting the final touches on Nihongo Lessons 1.2... maybe the biggest update I've ever done focused entirely on Japanese beginners!

What feature/bug tracking service are indie devs into these days? I've been using Asana for a long time, but for the solo dev use case it feels like the app has honestly been getting worse over the years. Their Mac app especially feels slower and slower all the time, and loses functionality.
