Although MI's beverage container redemption rate under its deposit return system (#DRS, aka #bottlebill) has fallen, its current 70% rate is still double the U.S. nominal recycling rate of 35% (2021 data) for all beverage containers (on & not on deposit). MI is one of only 10 U.S. states w/a #DRS.
